Where to go in Tuscany?

You don't really know where to go? We can help.

Although our tours are completely customizable, if you don't have a precise idea of what you'd like to see in Tuscany and you just would like to have a general taste of the various aspects of this gorgeous land, we suggest you to consider two different areas of Tuscany which, in our opinion, stand out from the other ones.

Below you find some suggestions and ideas. This doesn't mean that we have to follow the itinerary, but of course we can change it at any time you like, depending on your preferences. Of course you can also decide to just relax and leave it up to our 23-year expertise, we're sure you won't be disappointed.

The Southern Tuscany (The Red Tour)

The Chianti region (The Blue Tour)

Some ideas (NOT A PRE-SET PACKAGE), to get inspiration from.

A nice idea that we would suggest, is driving in the morning through the Sienese clay area, one of the most incredible and particular landscapes of Tuscany, almost unreal. We will see the typical Tuscan farms on the top of the hill, with the winding cypress roadways and wheat fields. Depending on the season, you will see the fields covered by red poppies, sunflowers, clover. In the same area, if you would like to, we can stop in a beautiful Benedictine abbey where monks are still working and praying in a surreal setting surrounded by frescoes from the 15th century. Of course if you are not very interested in abbeys, we can take you to a winery instead. Then we can start driving through the spectacular Orcia Valley, (UNESCO world heritage site) where you can visit very nice charming hilltop villages still surrounded by their mediaeval city walls.

Before we start heading into the deep Chianti region, we could stop in a cute little village that in the middle ages was a fortress and it still has perfectly integer walls despite of all the mediaeval battles. Some more villages in the area, and then the landscape will change very quickly from the soft hills to the harder but not less beautiful fields full of olive trees, vineyards and forests. In that same area, we also have one of the nicest castles of Tuscany owned by the same family since the XII century, we'll be very happy to take you there if you want. During the day, we will be stopping in other very nice off the beaten path little villages still undisclosed by the big buses. Of course, being in the wine country, we can stop in a winery to visit the cellars, see all the operations, talk to the wine maker and of course taste the final result!

Please don't ask us which area is "the best", it would be like asking a mother which one of her two children she prefers.. If time and budget allow, we suggest to visit both areas in two days so at the end you'll have a very good overview of all the wonderful aspects of Tuscany.

Another interesting option:
A Private Transfer with some detours along the way.

ITALY is a land full of treasures: art, architecture, food, wine... If you are going (or coming from) NORTH to Florence, Venice, Como, Milan or if you are going (or coming from) SOUTH, you have a lot of options to make the best out of your transfer day. We can load your lugagge in the Van and we can start heading towards your final destination, making some stops along the way. Our driver will wait for you in the van, keeping your luggage safe while you'll be exploring.
